    I pretty much agree with you - maybe "Martha my dear" a ballad, but i'm not sure.
    For quite a few years i didn't play this album as i found it a bit disjointed, but recently i got into it again. Listening to it now, i think it shows just how versatile the lads were and how they were and still are ahead of any other group.

    Wow, we agree on something! :) I put Martha My Dear in the novelty category because I felt like Paul was writing a 1940s-style tune in a tongue-in-cheek way, since it's about his dog.
